Subscription, Cancellation and Refund Terms

These terms apply to paid plans purchased through The USA Promoted, a participating surface of The Local Internet, operated by Local Internet Group. They sit alongside our Terms and Privacy notice.

What you are buying

A subscription attaches to one Business Record (your organization) and unlocks management features for that record. One subscription manages the shared Business Record. Eligible surface publication is controlled through the record's publication relationships.

The Free plan remains available at no cost and keeps a basic public record usable. Payment unlocks management capability — it is never required to correct essential public facts about a business.

Prices and billing intervals

Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax that may apply at checkout.

  • Local — $29 per month, or $300 per year (1 managed location).
  • Multi-Location — $99 per month, or $990 per year (Up to 5 locations).
  • Network — $299 per month, or $2990 per year (Up to 25 locations).
  • Free — $0, one location record.
  • Franchise and Enterprise — custom pricing, arranged directly. Never sold through self-service checkout.

The exact price, interval and renewal date are shown before you confirm payment and again on your billing page.

Automatic renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period — monthly plans every month, annual plans every twelve months — at the price then shown for your plan, until you cancel. Your next renewal date is always visible on your billing page.

If a price changes, the new price applies from your next renewal and we tell you before that renewal happens.

Free trials

Where a trial is offered, its length and end date are shown before you confirm. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the plan converts to a paid subscription at the price shown and bills automatically.

Upgrades and downgrades

Upgrades take effect immediately once payment is confirmed, and the higher plan's features unlock right away.

Downgrades are scheduled for the end of your current billing period, so you keep what you paid for. If your record exceeds the lower plan's location or user limit, you must choose what the smaller plan will manage before the downgrade is scheduled.

Downgrading never deletes locations, records, articles, offers, events or history. Data is preserved; only paid management features are restricted until you upgrade again.

Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from the billing page in your Business Control Center, using Manage Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access until then, and you are not billed again. There is no cancellation fee and no phone call or email is required.

You can reverse a pending cancellation any time before the period ends. After cancellation the record returns to the Free plan; public information is not removed because you stopped paying.

Refunds

Monthly payments are generally not refundable, since cancelling stops the next charge and access continues to the end of the paid period.

Annual payments may be refunded on a pro-rated basis for the unused full months remaining, if you request it within 30 days of the charge.

We refund in full where a payment was taken in error, charged twice, or taken for a service that was never delivered. Request a refund at thelocalinternet@gmail.com with the business name and the date of the charge. Statutory rights to a refund under your local law are unaffected by anything on this page.

Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, the subscription is marked past due and the billing contact is notified. Access is not cut off immediately: there is a grace period of 7 days to update the payment method through Manage Billing. After the grace period, paid management features are restricted, while the public record, articles and history are preserved.

Who can manage billing

Only the record owner and authorized managers can start, change or cancel a subscription. Payment details are handled entirely by our payment provider — we never see or store complete card details.
